First birds with new 100-400L on XTi

My 100-400L arrived yesterday and today this mockingbird (?) landed on a tree branch right next to me. I had the lens locked at 400mm so that's what I used as I didn't want to scare him away by making a lot of movements.

What do you think for my first real try with this lens?
