Hi Guys!

I really want a crumpler for my Birthday.....and Im looking at the 7 million dollar home. I have a canon bag now, and with my new lenses and hoods, they do NOT fit!!!!!!

Question....will the 7 million dollar home fit my gear? You can see my gear in my siggy.....my 400D w/grip, 3 lenses, 430 ex then I also carry with me my battery charger, 2 filters, and my CF reader.

Think it will all fit?

Im trying to decide between the brown crumpler bag (and buying the black POTN strap)
or
the red bag with the red crumpler POTN strap:lol: But want to make sure the bag will work.

Thanks Guys!:D

oh....and one more question....how do you guys pack your hoods??? without the getting scratched? I only had one hood up until now for my 50 1.4, and that always stayed on my camera....now with the 2 new lenses and hoods.....im not sure how to pack them correctly. Thanks!

I was going to get the 7 MDH but decided on the Lowepro Slingshot 300 instead.

From all my research all the stuff in your sig should fit just fine with room for a couple extra things.

Yes, that will fit without any problem.....Its a quality bag.
The wide angle lense hoods can be a little tight, such as a 17-40.

Most you can reverse ie. 70-200, and slide down into the compartment.

I have heard that some do arrange there lenses horizontally. If my hood doesnt fit I put in a seperate lens bag for protection.

I looked long and hard at the crumpler but then decided to go for the National Geographic Medium Shoulder bag and I'm very happy that I did, if you're still considering alternative bags maybe check that one out too.

Here's a thread to get your started:

And a picture of some dude wearing it.

Good luck with your bag purchase, I know it took me a long time to decide on mine.

The 7 mill will be fine for what you have got. I can fit pretty much all my canon stuff in my 6mill and a film camera, so you will be right with the next one up.

I have the slingshot 300, it is huge. But I know I can take all my gear, plus my 70-200 when I get it. I like being able to access the camera without taking the bag off. And it has extra pockets for memory cards and filters. Of course I am short and the bag is almost as big as I am. I use a small backpack when I am taking just one lens.

Hate to go all ad nauseum, but your gear will fit with no issues whatsoever. I've had mine for about 3 months now and really like it with few to no complaints.

I looked seriously at the Crumpler bags. I did not like the fact they do not completely seal up against wx. The Nat'l Geo bag looks like it would soak up water, and also looks a bit hokey to me. Tamrac and Lowepro I believe make the best bags and carry systemes for the money. My latest bag is my Slingshot 300 AW. I also have a Lowepro Rover Plus AW (huge) and the Street & Field Deluxe Belt and Shoulder harness I use with my Toploader 75 AW and lots of lens pouches. They all serve their purposes, but for my general grab and go, the Slingshot 300 AW is hard to beat--especially if you get caught in the rain!

I have the Crumpler 7MDH, at the moment it contains:
1. 100-400mm hood reversed
2. 17-40mm hood reversed
3. 5D with 24-105mm attached, hood reversed
4. Rocket blower
5. Flash cards, battery charger, WhiBal card, Artic Butterfly, etc.
6. 580EX

Things are a bit snug, but workable.
