When using the patch tool I find that when I trace near a bright or dark color it bleeds once I patch in the new color. I mean it bleeds the old edge color into the new patch color. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, it's just not a perfect tool. I often get a dark bleed from the side of an image. The healing brush (or whatever I forget the name) in "replace" mode works well sometimes.

Replace mode worked ok for me. I wonder if there is a good PSCS2 tutorial video that would help me to learn and use the tools more.

I find it works the best in a separate layer......because it's never perfect. Then just blend with opacity.
