this was a total spur of the moment purchase yesterday. I've always like the print quality of permajets fibre base gloss but never liked the thickness nor the curl of the paper. The art pearl seems to be kinda like the smooth art pearl paper but for photoblack ink. the backing of the paper has a fluffy texture to it unlike anything I've used before. The printing surface is quite white and bright no idea if it used OB or not the PJ site does not say so I'm assuming it does. The B&W portriat print I did is stunning, lovely skin tones with great tonal diffusion between the various grays. The colour print has taken significantly more ink and will probably require a good 24hours to dry properly and I'm not sure I like the effect it gives my car shots so I'll need to print off a colour portrait for comparision. from the B&W stuff I've printed I really like this paper over the FBG for portraits. most of my prints are gloss or luster so its a pain having to change over to MK to do portrait prints prints this paper is a viable alternative to matt paper.
