Yeah, you can't make out any detail in their contour feathers when watching them with the naked eye. A lot of it is that I was able to get quite close to the birds, and did not have to crop much to get these images. Below is a crop of the same image without post processing. The noise reduction helps, but I think it would be pretty good even without it for ISO 800.
