My first 5D/100-400L garden bird shots

While sawing some logs up today, I had some visitors in the back garden, with their offspring in tow. I’ve not used this lens much for birds so thought I would have it out in the garden with me just in case and give it a try.

Some of these shots are heavily cropped as reach was a bit of a problem.

All taken with 5D, EF100-400L, f9-10, 400 Iso.

Yes I must admit I love the picture from this camera.

Sorry I should have put some detail to the pictures, but many will know already.

Father Blackbird with son or daughter, not sure which :)

I'm always amazed at the smoothness of the 5D and 1D pics compoared to the noise with the 30D.

It's good, as opposed to better. ;)

I can look at any image and tell instantly if it was taken with one of the 10 series cameras, the 5 or the 1 series. It's like night and day.

the detail in 4 and as mitch said the smothness in these 5d images .
would like to iso 800 to compair 350d.:)
