Cardinals are considered rare here. (5 or less birds per year)
I know it's not the greatest shot, but I'm quite pleased to have this young lady visiting my feeder lately.

Oh you lucky so and so..;) Maybe the outing should start at your feeder :p Send her up this way. I'm begging to think you have all the cool birds down that way. Nice shot Shirley.

Nice! I also got a female today. I must say it was only the fourth time (or so) in my life that I saw one.

Nice shot Shirley. Put out some sunflower seeds on the ground, she'll be back with that red guy she hangs out with.

Thanks Trevor. I was so excited. Earlier this week I thought I saw a cardinal but then I figured it was just my really bad id'ing ability. Then it came back twice yesterday and I first saw it with the binoculars. That's when I sat outside and waited....

Yes, I saw yours earlier. I really hope to have a male visit soon. I must go find a recording of their song, so I will recognize it.

Yes you must! It's a very recognizable song. Now that I've heard it I'll know when there's one around. Funny because yesterday was the first time I heard one sing.
