Hi,

I caught these two sitting on the power line to my house this morning. I'm new to birding and definitely not up to par on identification. I'm pretty sure the tan one is a dove, but have no idea of what the second is. Can any one help?

First bird is a morning dove and the second is a northern mockingbird. The only thing you may want to look for on that first bird is if it has a black band on its neck. If it does, it is a collared dove. Although that apprears to be a morning dove.

Shouldn't that be "mourning"?
