Excellent start- pretty good focus on the eyes.
I'd just suggest when framing/cropping the shot try to take the subject off centre by giving it more room in the direction it is looking.

Nice shot! The only thing I don't like is the highlights but maybe that is just me. Is this due to sharpening?

Olly, the shot was taken on a window sill inside with bright sun.
