I'm using a 500/4 but may go to a 300/4 with 1.4 TC for flight shots, These are Nearly full frame and I cut the tail off one one I didn't post.

Nice shots Gary, those wings are beautiful. Someone told me they seen an osprey back at our local nest, I checked and couldnt see it around, but did see one fly over work today. The smelts are spawning so the eagles and Osprey will be gorging for a week or so.

They actually don't sit the nest consitantly they go fishing about every hour and they carry the fish to a location and eat (Most of the time this is not the nest) then bring what is left back to the nest
