These shots were from Champions On Ice, on April 14, 2007 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Their web site stated that no lens longer than 70mm would be permitted. I took my 85mm f/2.8. I was concerned until I looked three rows ahead of me and saw a guy with a long telephoto. We had fifth row seats and the show was great. My 13 year old daughter is the figure skater and fan, but I recoginized a lot of names, and am still learning.
These were shot with the 85mm at iso 1600. #1, Sasha Cohen, was 1/800 f/2.5, #2, Kimmie Mizner was 1/800 f/2.2. I decided on Manual setting, judging from some early shots as tests. All are cropped a bit, processed in Photoshop, then processed with Neat Image. This is the first time I used Neat Image. C/C welcomed. (I also took a few at iso 800.)
