Are you using the Costco printer profile for your store? I wouldn't let them process and mail me the results because I'm not sure where they would be printed. Our local Costco gives quite consistent results when you use their profile.

The profile has nothing to do with consistency.

They don't mail me the results. I pick up the pictures.

For film, I've used a pro lab for decades. Now, they won't provide a printer profile, take 2-days to normal process, and charge at least 10X as much. As long as Costco keeps delivering what I expect, I'm sticking with them.

Echo, Echo, Echo. I too, am fortunate that my local Costco is pretty consistent. And whenever I've had a problem, they have been extremely cooperative to re-print and make corrections.

Well, that does make sense. I may give your test a try at our local Costco.

Wow, yeah! From left to right, they look like four completely different kids . . . ;)

I noticed that too

Seriously though, I'd be upset with the brightness differences that seem to flip/flop from set to set.

How does one use the costco profile? I downloaded it (icm file) from the costco site for my local store, but now what? Do I use it when saving the image I want to print? Then what about the sRGB profile I use to view the pics in the first place?

... little confused here... I've never had digital photos printed before.

I have the same question. I have tried to use sams club for a long time. but the prints always come out way to dark! I have given up on them.
