Beautiful bird. It looks fake. I know it isn't, but should a bird really be that colorful? :D

I agree! Its beak looks disproportionately big compared to the rest of its body! Sorry I can't help with the ID.

That large beak makes them good and top-heavy for the plunge, quite an adaptation. Beautiful picture George, gorgeous bird.

Cracking Image, i think this is a Stork-billed Kingfisher.
