Killdeer

The last time I posted Killdeer images I got some just criticisms of the harsh backlight on the images. This evening when I spotted another Killdeer I made a point of circling way around to get the light coming in over my shoulder. I think the images turned out much better (I know I shouldn't be but I am amazed how much a good solid tripod is helping with my images as well) but I would like your thoughts - good or bad.

I've taken to carrying my tripod with me now. Makes all the difference.

Very nice Ed, love the eyes on these guys. Are these cropped already? looks like you captured a lot of detail and might be able to crop them a bit more. Either way they are very nice, the lighting makes a big difference doesnt it. Havent seen or heard any of these guys around here yet this spring. Well done.

Thanks to all of you. See, this old dog can still learn some new tricks. I was very careful tonight to think about the light constantly and I think it paid off for all the images from tonight - the Killdeer but also the Male and Female Eastern Bluebird.

That's why I like constructive criticism.

Thanks Allen. Sometimes it gets a bit frustrating but I think I am learning. Little by little.
