I've found an abandoned house i'd like to shoot in, i scouted the area and talked to a few neighbors and they've all said that its been vacant for several years now, they also gave me the information of the people that own the land. So what i'm asking is, do any of you have any tips or information that i should bring to the land owners to try and gain permission?

there are websites that specifically deal with this sort of thing. http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/ (external link) www.28dayslater.co.uk (external link) www.darkplaces.co.uk (external link) and more. Type urban exploration. A lot of the people their are quite knowledgable as to where you stand regarding the law so they will offer good advice. Some of the piccies on these sites are quite stunning, and very profesional. if you like this sort of thing, I am sure you will have a lot to discuss!

I don't know how relevant it is, but all three of those links are to UK-based boards, while you're located in Philly (judging by your info). You might want to be a little careful with following any legal advice given unless it's specific to the US - and, actually, to PA and Philly in particular, since laws can vary wildly from locale to locale in this country.
