Was fortunate to be able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather yesterday; as well as some good company (Gary Fairhead). We were entertained for quite some time with this flock of Cedars that came berry picking.

All shots taken with 30D; 500mm + 1.4X (700mm); ISO 160; 1/320. Manual Expsoure.

Haha great captures.

Wonderful. I was happy with my Waxwing shots with the 100-400, and now you have me thinking "500...hmmm." But seriously, these are great. It seems to me that if there is food around for these birds to eat, they will tolerate people close by quite well.

Beautiful shots Ted. I am surprised you have any berries left though. I've been looking as I drive around and every tree that had berries has been stripped months ago, so no waxwings here.
