I went to shoot some pictures of a few birds in my birdbath out back, but they flew away when I got my camera. But I decided to shoot a few anyway to test the distance and I got this pretty neat shot.

The lens was focusing on the trees, which were obviosuly not there, but the water was so still it worked out. Pretty nice bokeh by the way

With focus just on the bird bath

Nothing special really, the lens just had trouble deciding what to focus on. Half the time it was the water, and half the time it was the tree reflection.

Try the shot again with a polarizer ;)

Is it possible to merge the focused reflection and the focused birdbath into one in PS?

I've got my eyes on this lens. Just need to sell some of my gear to fund the purchase.

Here is the merged shot...not the best work since the originals are on my home computer, but you get the idea. Actually, you wouldn't have to edit this in PS since some of my shots (not shown) actually had everything in focus.
