I watched this bird yesterday morning, I think he got some small fish, but nothing I could see or catch on camera. This is in my pond I built 20 years ago, I have lots of fish in it, so I hope he will be back. rw

The reflection is lovely. However, you could make it even better by straightening the horizon. It is very easy to check if your horizon is straight or not. You align the tip of the bill with its bill reflection in the water. If both points form a perfect vertical line, then the horizon is good. In this case above, it's tilted, like 11:27 on a clock. Pardon my poor metaphor Fee

Pardon my poor metaphor .I see what you mean, I should have seen it by looking at the shore line. Again, I had to sneak up on this bird and peer through a pine tree to get the shot. Plus had some reeds on my side. I need to practice paitence, but I am so worried at times the birds are going to fly off, I rush the shot. I wonder if I go into Photo Shop, I might be able to straight in it, but maybe not with the reflection there. Thanks, rw I would have done the same thing like you did, i.e. take the shot first in case the subject flees. Fee
