Just an average photo but of a very significant grave site. This stone was placed on the burial site of Okei San, the first Japanese woman to die in the US in 1871. The site is just down the road from the ranch she lived and died on which was the first Japanese permanent colony in the US. Understandably this site is a big deal in Japan, particularly in the prefecture that the colonists originated from. Until recently though access has been limited, but efforts are being made to remedy that.
