This is for the people that feel you have to have exotic bird to photograph.

Here is a pretty average scene

I'm surprised 23 looks and no comments. Many posters will be discouraged by posting a common bird and not get comments. I really only posted this to see reaction of the group and the number of no comment Gawkers.

I have had a number of people tell me that they wish they had Eagle pictures and now I see why.

Thanks

I like the second and third ones, he's got that "walking on water" thing down pat.

Just wish for a bit more sparkly water though....

I guess I was one of the lookers. I thought I posted, but may have hit the other button instead. It happens some times. :)

Anyway, I liked the first one the most. That feather detail under the wing came out really nice. Kind of neat how they pack them all in there all neat and tidy.

Me to but the Darn sun and clouds wouldn't cooperate. Thanks Pete

I get plenty of comments but many pictures go by unnoticed and that discourages the new posters.

Hey Mitch Thanks

I think you understand my message. I get more than my share of comments and often compliments I don't deserve, but many Photos get looked at and ignored which discourges them from posting again.

Yeah... I get the same thing too. Sometimes I post up threads that I think aren't that bad and get very little in the way of comments.

I just take it as a compliment. If I don't hear anything bad, then it must be good!

Thanks Sentro

I used a 500/4 and a 1.4 TC.

Please post your pictures.

I posted these to try to fight the Apathy and the looking and ignoring going on in the group. This is a great group and much help is available here.

Welcome

I don't think it's Apathy as such. I just think it's because the bird section moves extremely fast, so it's hard to cover everything.

That's why I tend to try and use creative titles in my posts now.

gary,

Hey, you got 8 more comments on your mallard then I got on my geese... So subject matter
matters. I guess Eagles and Osprey are rarer and more appealing. Nice pictures by the way.

No problem, Gary, you have a valid point there. I can't say I'm all that known, I've only recently started to post in the birds section. I've also posted things in other sections and had the pleasure of having zero replies when I think they're fairly good.

I know I get comments I don't deserve.

Your Geese should certianly do better than my ducks. LOL:lol:
