Do you shoot them as well as photograph them? For those of you who do, do they taste similar to the farmed ones the rest of us get at thanksgiving?

i used to hunt them regularly but after catching one with my bare hands the thrioll of the hunt was gone:D :D i no longer eat them and it is against mt hunter ethics to take what i don't eat. my hunting abilites do allow me to get shots the average person usually would not.

no. they do not taste like a farm rasied butter ball. :D :D

they are alright but just as with store bought meat, once one consumes large qauntities of wild game one gets a taste for certain meat and a lack of taste for others.

I've eaten a large number of wild turkey's and to be honest, I can not tell the difference between them. They taste just like a butterball to me. Even the ones found in New Mexico and Arizona who eat Juniper berries taste the same. Now a lot of people swear by Pheasant, but to me it is the worst game meat I have ever tasted. YUK... go figure.

now ya see, i eat about 30 peasants a year and although they are good they don't taste like chicken either.

if ya think a wild tukey tastes like a tore bought butterball ya need to get a different cook ;) :D :D :D

really, game is something that i have found to vary greatly when it comes to being eaten , depending on the person doing the cooking.

but then i knew that about regular meat by the time i was ten years old.

when it come to beef i won't eat any cut that is not ribeye(or prime rib), filiet mignon, or porter house. and theyhave to be blood rare with strong searing on the ouitside. most have never bought these pieces let alone know how to cook them like that.

ya need to come up to my palce sometime canon loader and we'll shhot some pictures duringteh day and eat some of my favorite recipes at night!

i'll guarantee i'll change your mind on both wild and domestic meat !;)

If I do, you'll have to listen to my stories about the one year and one day I spent in the Gila National Forest, in a tent. ;)

Those are all really excellent. The colors really are amazing and you've captured them well. Really beautiful bird.
