I noticed this grouse on the side of the road this AM...I stopped and put it on Reverse (I had 700mm...need to get back to compose the image) and noticed the bird was running after the car!

I stopped, got out and it just followed me around and no matter how I tried to back away...it just followed:rolleyes:

So I spent a good 10minutes just observing it as it hung around me. I finaly managed to get it in minimum focus (15Ft) but could only negotiate a couple of shots.

Here's a portrait. Taken off my bean bag (which i set on my knee while kneeling).

And also throwing in one of my favorite RWB so far.

Marc

Those are both very nice shots, Marc.....I especially like the close up of the grouse.

Nice shots and good story Marc. Probably a good thing you didn't open the car door. :)
