Please identify this hawk

This is in the St Louis area. I came home, and this dude was just chillin on my deck. By the time I ran downstairs and grabbed the camera, he was up in my neighbor's tree. This is as close as I got before I freaked him out and he left. He's been hanging around the house for the last week. From beak to tailfeather, he's probably 2 feet in length.

The lighting was harsh, so I got some halo effect on his chest area.

Looks like a Red-tailed hawk to me. Nice capture in the tough situation. One thing i notice, the sky seems a little purple'ish. Is that a result of your pp?

Yeah, I saturated the crap out of the image to try to get the colors of the bird out.

Couldn`t tell you what it is, but the pictures very nice. I wish we had birds like that in my garden...oh well.

The subject does not have much colors to begin with. More saturation probably won't help much. In this case, the saturation does more harm than good to the image, IMHO.
