Great shots Mitch. Interesting observations on the seeds in the drill holes.

Thanks Bill. I couldn't see them until I used the lens, too far away for my old eyes. I have a pair of binoculars I carry in the truck, looks like I should use them more often. Never know what you might find.

I once saw several larder trees with acorns in the holes, but they were made by a Red headed Woodpecker. Anyone know what might have done this? Or even what kind of seeds these might be. And there were plenty of oaks around for acorns.

Thanks Sindri. I've seen this guy 5 or 6 times now, in the same area, but this is the first time I've seen him digging a real tree hole.

He will be back they are very repetative
