I took these shots at the local picnic grounds today.

Nice birds - great colours. I have a friend who lived in Perth. When talking on the phone I used to hear them. He would ask me. "Can you hear those ------- galahs? I thought it was a great sound.

I never get over how you guys down there have all these birds worth thousands of dollars each, just flying around loose. :D

Heh then you'd go nuts at the picnic ground I was at, seeing $$ signs flying around everywhere. It's a popular tourist spot where hundreds of cockatoos, galahs and rosellas come to be fed by the bus-loads of tourists.
