Well I've never sold a photo before, I just had this photo in my profile on model mayhem and some lady has been messaging me asking to buy a "large poster of it." I don't mind selling it, I actually just took the photo while out messing around at the park anyways. I never really print my photos above 4x6 and right now I'm tight on money so I don't want to print the poster out or pay for it at a site myself. I've told her I'll just sell her a copy of the image file and she may print it for her own use however she wants. She asked for the dimensions of the file and how much do I want for it. That's where I really need help. I don't want to charge her full price really since I'm just giving her the image to print on her own and not doing that myself. I'm really lost. Any help or ideas would be great.

You could get the money up front; inc. P+P. That way, you don't spend a penny!

What would you pay for it? Gives you an idea of what to charge. Peace.

I wouldn't send the image...I would just get a print, and mail it. You could probably go to Costco, or some other printer, and have it made to her size specs, and ship it off. I don't think that will cost more than $5 or 10 bucks, depending on the size of the print. She could paypal you the money, or something to that effect...and you print and send it along.

As for what to charge...I've spoken to a couple of people that sell photos, and they charge around 35-45 for an 8x10, depending on the image. Some others said about 20-25 for an 8x10. I guess it's subjective...but anywhere in the range of 25-35 for an 8x10 I would say isn't bad. Though, again, that's just my guess.
