and #3, i dont think you would say that if you were there

As a teenager, I was the gopher for a birding group and falconry club where I grew up. My summer job was to climb tall trees and raid hawk and owl nests for the guys on the ground doing the banding. I know what it's like to be attacked by Red Tails and Owls. You should see someone trying to climb a tree in a footbal helmet and neckbrace in a leather coat. :mrgreen:

But, the fact is, I was never actually attacked. They would fly around awful close, screeching and carrying on, but none ever actually touched me. If they had, I'm not sure a helmet, neckbrace and leather coat is going to break your fall from 40 feet. ;)

wow, nice, sounds like a lot of fun hahaha. well you know what it feels like then. mabye ill wear a helmet next time :p. although my lens seems to do the trick.

It would be interesting to know how many people have actually been attacked though. I mean where claws meet flesh. The only one I recall hearing about was a large owl attacking hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail and he was going after something on their backpacks. :)
