Just ordered a copy of Lightroom from Adobe

before price up to $299 a piece. I hope I can get the most out of it, if not please help me... thanks in advance

Its an awesome program.

depending on your ram situation, you may consider an upgrade as i find its a bit hungry sometiems.

You will love it. It has some short comings but it is still a good value in MHO.

I think I will spend some times to learn it, once I get over it, CS3 Extended it's next

i ordered mine at BH photo 3 weeks ago and thinking of getting the CS3 but unfortunately i still have to build another computer just for photos and im not planning to use Vista, i think i still use with XP pro for now...anybody using Vista?, please give me some info...

One word...'DONT'. XP Pro is more stable and without the compatibility issues that Vista still has.

Let's not turn this into a Vista vs XP thread. There are plenty of those already around to do your own research.

As for the OP picking up LR, congrats. I love it. As mentioned above there are some things to iron out but even with the bugs I wouldn't get rid of it. I took some shots at a family get together last night after a funeral. I came home and began working on the pics. Sorting and ranking is awesome. I love the Survey feature for looking at multiple shots of the same subjects. Making adjustments is so quick and easy. I spend very little time in CS2 now.
