I know this is a cheezy one but heck why not? Well, today is one year since the 10D arrived here in England. Lets see here it have been to Wales twice and once each to Ireland and Scotland as well as all over England. I was hoping to get out and take some pics on the one year mark but it has been on/off rain/drizzle/not-sure-what-the-heck-it-will-do-next-kinda-weather today. The shot counter is a few short of 4850 pics total taken. I was hoping to crack the 5K mark but oh well. It has seen the likes of the Concorde, as in its final few commercial flights, the final one and the last flight to Filton in Bristol. It has seen also some portrait work, as I took some pics of one of the kids of a coworker. There have been a fair amount of silly shots taken and of course the progression from consumer glass to Canon L lenses/Sigma EX lenses. It has been indeed an interesting year and there is a ton more to be learned!
Happy first birthday to my Canon EOS 10D and many more to come! I have now a pic I will have to tweek after backing up all these gazillion pics I took on hiloday in Northern England/Scotland and put on the forum. I do believe it was taken in a garden near Lake Windemere in the Lake District in England.
I have thought about getting the 1D Mark II but as cool as it is, I can't justify $4500 of camera at this time. I think I will be content for now with the 10D, there isn't a thing wrong with it. It still shoots fine, just it is now a year old and has about 4850 shutter actuations.
And now it is time for the cake which I will eat on behalf of the 10D
