Well I got my birthday present early! Guess dad wasn't listening close enough. I got a 30D!:p Nah it's ok though I'm still very happy. I'll sure miss.....well idk what I'll miss I never used anything. Ordered the 10-22, 17-55, and sigma 30 about half an hour ago. Looks like I'm staying cropped. Maybe now I'll post a couple shots. ;)

The HDR and the high ISO I'll miss. But honestly I'm not a pro, I'm really only using it for fun and for travel, it'd be a huge waste of money to go with a 5D. I think I reached a happy medium. I sacrificed a little IQ but I'm keeping a whole lot of money. In the end I think this is the right place for me. :D

HDR is a result of post processing, not having a 5D. ;)

Tough crowd!
August, so you got rid of the 24-70 again?

What kind of a father gets his son a 30D instead of a 5D?
(Wait a minute, I used to get a pair of socks from mine...;))

I started clean. Sold my 35L and 24-70L back to the local shop this afternoon. Will I miss all the red rings? Yeah. Will I love having $2000 more in my pocket? Yeah. Will I still take awesome pictures? Yeah. Will I post them up? Yeah.;)

How do you figure? The lenses you ordered cost at least as much as the 35L and 24-70L.
