outstanding horned grebe. A shot I dreamed of getting in March. Had the birds in range but they were in drab Winter plumage. Refound the little horned devils last week in perfect color and they insisted on staying out of range. I settled for a piedbill who favored me. Just isn't the same drama as your guy, who you shot very well.

Thank you Dennis and Sam.
That was an isolated individual that kinda lost it's way.....my only Horned Grebe sighting ever....I think I had a 300mm lens on me which did not help....400mm would have been the right FL.
