While at the Palo Alto Baylands Sunday I got a chance to shot a
Ring-necked Pheasant. My friends Adam and Manny refer to him as
Superchicken. Very colorful bird. These were taken with the 20D
and 300 f2.8LIS with 1.4x TC.

Wow George, is there any bird you guys don't have out there? Amazing some of the things you come up with there. :)

Thanks Mitch. Ya, we don't have too many Bald Eagles around here, or any Yelow-crowned
Herons or Spoonbills to name a few. But we are lucky to have a very diverse selection
of birds.

Thanks dwp. There are a couple of these guys out there. I got a few shots of the
other one, but he was in heavy underbrush so the colors don't show up as nicely.

That pheasant looks hand painted. Very very nice series.

Thanks rw2 and Bob. I'm glad you liked them. The pheasant does look like something
an artist painted up to be as colorful as possible.
