I've been looking at getting a good printer for general photograph printing and was wondering if anyone had any experience/thoughts about solid ink technology as found in the Xerox 8560 line?
Thanks

It is basically melted wax crayons. I am sure the technology has improved since I worked on these things back in the mid-late 90's. But from what I remeber color prints are thick and heavy and scratched really easy. Not really a archival professional type print. But I see they now offer free print sample packs so order one and look at the prints for yourself and see how they are now. Epson is doing the same hting with the 3800, you can order sample prints. So order both and compare. Gear List? My gear is bigger than yours? Just shoot have fun...
