Great shots, Zip. They're really sharp - looks like you got close.

Love the second one best but like the way you blended the edge of the first one. You're pretty good at that stuff!

Great shots ! The second is the real standout for me. I love the perch and the action of him singing away. All of the shots have perfect exposure and are sharp as a tack. Well done.

Thanks Karen! To be honest there isn't that much shop in the first. The white is snow setup in front of the lens a good distance from the subject. The blue is from the sky reflecting off the snow into the shadows of a spruce tree. Blending was done using noise ninja. The last shot is a different story. There use to be a deck in there someplace.

Thanks Mitch! If leucism means something is not right with the white on this bird I think you're right. I just call it pie-bald.

I'll echo Chris' sentiments for this shot. It's just great, and I love the little tongue making an appearance...

Very nice series Zip and it shows the differences in this species. I have a shot so similar to your second one....same type of tree, and singing ...but he's facing the other direction and its a lanscape shot...I will post it.

They're all excellent, ZIp, but the second one is just too cute. Love the way he sings his heart (make that tongue) out
