You pulled out the scope huh? I think #4 and 5 look the sharpest as presented. Shore birds are a fav of mine! Good series!

Thanks Allen, yeah, after 3 days of rain the sun finally came out so I had to try it. There are some fairly regular birds at this spot, but unfortunately, it's just beyond the reach of any lens I have. The scope is equivelant to 600mm, but this guy was still small in the frame.

Thanks guys.

Gary, no mosquitoes. There may be some down there this summer, but where I live, there haven't been any for years. After this winter, there won't be many anywhere. I love it.

Thanks Reyno. I've added at least 4 today. This guy, an Egret, a bluebird and a yellow rumped warbler. I'm still editing. :)

So you had to move on to the Digiscope. The Bigma's not quite enough?? ;)

I've been reading Arthur Morris's book "The Art of Bird Photography" and while he talks about how much he loves the 400 5.6, almost all the photos in his book were shot with the 600 or 800 lenses and often with a TC and sometimes extension tubes. What chance do we mere mortals have with 400mm 5.6 or Bigmas?

Anyway, nice image of the Lesser. Definitely closer and much better than the Greater I shot last weekend from across a small pond!

Thanks Ed and Trevor. Ed, I feel guilty leaving it under the bed for weeks at a time. It does work pretty good when using beanbags over the hood of the truck. ;)

Congratulations Mitch. It's always exciting to get a new Lifer. I'd be interested in reading about your Digiscope set-up.

Thanks Stephen, Sam and Bob. Here's a couple of threads that show the scope and I think there are links in there somewhere for getting the adapter and the scope, but you'll have to read through them. :)
