Short introduction. My name is Alex and I am 12 years old. My forum name might sound familiar as my dad writes on this forum as well. I stole his camera and took my first shot. Hope you like it. It is a spittle bug nymph that I found in Cuckoo spit.

Unusual, at least for me anyway, that you got a clean shot of this little guy. I have taken a few myself of these nymphs but have always ended up with having a bit of the "spittle" still surrounding the them. Very good image :D

Very good shot, and welcome to the forum.
Was thinking the other day to search inside some spit I saw on a
flower bush to get a picture of the bug , but I gave up :)

Looks very similar - depends what your chewing  We call it cuckoo spit, it's made by the bug for its protection. Rough luck if a twelve-year old pokes you with a stick to take a pic

Great shot Alex and welcome.

Alex - welcome, and a good shot, you're following in your dad's footsteps!

Dave

PS You better give him the camera back, you know how old folks get upset when you take their toys away ;)
