When I print with Adobe Lightroom my prints come out with the colors off. I have my monitor calibrated with a Pantone Huey. So the I see is what I should get or close to it at least. I have a canon i9900 and when I print straight from Photoshop CS2 the colors are dead on. I dont no whats going on is there something in lightroom that I need to adjust.

Canon Rebel XT kit lens, Canon 50mm 1.8 lens, Canon 24mm-70mm L (The Brick), Canon 28mm-135mm IS, Canon 75mm-300 , Sigma 28mm 200mm, 430 EX speedlite
Will sing and dance for a 5D
C&C please I want to learn.

What are your settings at the bottom of the right panel in the Print Module? What profile are you using? Rendering intent?

you need to pick the .icc profile of your printer/paper/ink combo in the manged by printer box, and in the printer driver select the right paper, ink and say no color management

I'm having the exact same problem. Colors are way off. Using the same printer (i9900). Prints come out fine from CS3 or DPP, but not from LR. Tried some of the recommendations here, but 7 Canon Glossy 4x6 sheets and a significant amount of ink later, I'm still not getting the results I want.

What a waste of ink and paper.

Sorry you guys are having problems. Mine look great. Here is my printing workflow for Lightroom:

I like the way Lightroom prints. It is much better than Photoshop. Currently I select my images and then go to the Print Module. From there I figure out what size I want to print of each image. Once I know that I will select either a template from my existing or create a new one. For here I will create a new one.

1. I select my paper size (I only have one printer) from one of my printer presets that I have already created. Here the preset stores the paper size, type, borderless or not, print quality, and sets color management to Manage by Application.

2. I set the number of cells per page by adjusting the rows and columns section.

3. I then set the cell size by typing in the values rather than dragging the lines on the preview page.

4. I adjust any margins if necessary.

5. I set color management to my profile, in my case I choose my printer+paper+ink (HP 2600+Premium Plus+tricolor+photo) and set Perceptual.

6. I set shapening to medium usually and 300dpi for resolution.

7. I add a new preset in the left panel with a descriptive name for the number of prints, size and paper size/type like maybe: 2-5x7 (8.5x11)

8. I click Print and then OK.

While Lightroom is better than PS I still have a problem with the way it functions and I don't know if it is just me or the program. I really don't see why it is so difficult to allow someone to print multiple size images on one sheet. My wife likes to scrapbook and I am constantly printing several small images (2x2, 2x3, 3x4, 3.5x5). Before I would have to create a new contact sheet everytime I needed to print because the nember of prints always changes. Image Zone, the software that came with my HP printer has better functionality for printing and it was free with the printer. I can choose what size paper (8.5x11) and then select what size and quantity of each print and the program fits all images on the page or multiple pages. Adobe needs to take note here IMO.

step 5 and setting the printer to no color management is the only place you can "screw up" in the proccess. Its the same as printing from CS2, but in a different way, but I fear that you guys are color managing your prints their too

I had similar issues until I was educated by the guys above.

1. Under Color Mgmt. in the Print section of LR choose the profile for your printer/paper combo. For me it is Pro38 PLPP and is a canned profile from Epson. Also choose "Perceptual ".
2. In the print driver dialog box you must turn off color management. For me click Print in LR; Click Properties button in the Print Setup dialog box; Click the Advanced button in Mode area of the Epson print driver; In the Color Management area click "Off (No Color Adjustment"; Click OK all the way out and then print it

I'll post some screen shots of what I'm seeing later on. The solution might be right in front of my face, but I'm just not seeing it.
