Hi, I have a good friend, who's photography inspired me 20 odd years ago, he has recently come back to the hobby and acquired a Canon 5D.

Here is a Robin he shot one very damp, dull morning this week.

Would love to know what you guys think of the shot and the birds expression.

EF100-400L, @ 400mm, f6.3, 1/640sec, Iso1600.

It's a great shot with very well thought out composition, and I haven't seen a UK Robin I didn't like. I wish we had them over here. :)

I think it is a great shot in every way! It gives me something to aim for as I have only recently made my first attempt at bird photography - specifically Robins!

They are a delightful bird, we have one in our garden that follows us around :) .

Hi Ian, I was in the same position a few weeks back, but found we had a photogenic Robin that visited our back garden and he seems to be very tame.
