Reyno "C&C" are you kidding, I would love to get the shots you post continually. How much time weekly do devote to this passion of yours ? What is keeper rate out of say 100 shots ? How long have you been taking bird pics ? Maybe this could be a new thread and everyone could post there answers.

I prefer the first shot also because of the b/g color.

a fantastic set of shots some of the best iv seen posted but they do seem a little over sharpend, fine in the face and eye's just the bright bit's of the feather's.

Number one is my favorite. The Savannah pops against that nice background. Great lighting and exposure. Very good detail and sharpness that I too think you could back off a little on the sharpning. Thanks for sharing.
