Nice shot. We just got a kayak and I hope to be able to sneak up on one soon rather than shoot from across the channel. :)

Nice light on the Heron Gary, BG works well and the details look good .

They are pretty much a shallow water bird but will always take a shore lunch. They are nesting here now and fly from Nesting trees to the river for fish.

This was caught flying the river and the BG is Pines on the other side about a half mile away.

Great shot, you're right, the BG sets him off nicely. I really like this shot because it shows how hard these guys have to work during take-off. They make it seem so effortless.

Your Grouse shot were Great!!! Never seen a Grouse with that much color. In Minn. and Wisc. I recall the bird being rather dull looking
