Great contrast Gary. I like this one mostly for the aggressive look of the bird. Most of the time, in flight GBH photos portray the graceful look of the bird. Well done.

Thanks Gary for the welcome back! I spent 10 days in the D.C. and New York areas taking in the sights. Shot 3000 photos and only about 6 of them birds (seagulls off the ferry). Carried my 17-40 and the 70-200 most of the time. Had a couple good looks at a cardinal but didn't have the bigma with me at the time. Hope to get out to the wetlands Monday and resume shooting our fine feathered friends.
