I finally captured a fairly nice shot of the Brown Creeper...

20D; 100-400mm @ 400mm; f14; 1/1000; ISO 800; Manual Exposure; Handheld.

I know....ISO 800 ?.... Not sure; but I think I may have triggered the button while I was dialing the shutter speed...

Nice capture...

Seems a bit on the lighter side...

Haven't gotten close to getting one in the wild...
I've got one occasionally stopping by the feeder... constantly plays hide and seek with me... The one here in NE PA, is more brown and yellowish... These birds have a great attitude...

Pretty good capture here Ted of this very tiny moving target . They do blend in so shooting them against a blue sky is good strategy.

Very nicely captured. The feather pattern really does fit in with the tree bark. Well done.

Very nice job Ted. These guys are so difficult to capture. It is hard enough just to find one getting a good capture is another thing.

Congratulations Ted, nice capture.

I actually found one on the sidewalk downtown last Thursday. It must have stunned itself flying into the mirror glass of our building. I carefully picked it up and put in some bushes beside some trees. It quickly revived and flew up onto a tree trunk.
