I'm a new owner of the Canon Pixma Pro 9000.
I also have the Spyder2 Plus Calibration system.
But I just can't seem to figure thing out.
I do my editing in CS2 and get everything looking the way I want but when I go to print it ends up being allot darker.

Looking for input on how to set thing up to achieve prints that look like my screen.

Thanks for any help

You need to develop a print profile that works for you. Are you using Printfix plus?
How do your prints come out when printed by a pro? If they are fine then your back to the printer profile. If they aren't you need to figure what is wrong with the way you calibrated your monitor. Are you shooting and editing in the same gamut. Say srgb?

Are you using an ICC profile for the paper that you are using. I use nothing but Ilford paper and they are very good about having profiles available for most of the popular printers.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Thanks for the input.
I think the monitor calibration is off.
I was going to format my computer soon anyway then I will try again.
But please keep the input coming.
Thanks

Check your print driver properties. I believe you want to turn OFF color management cuz PhotoShop will manage color for you.
My guess is PS is managing the color and your print driver is managing also and causes the colors to go haywire.

Also, read this sticky
