This is a very nice image. I like it a lot. The background seemed a bit dark but after looking at it a bit longer, I felt it really added something to the image. Very well done Karen. It's a challenge shooting at the wetlands, because you move from sunshine to shade and back while on the boardwalk, and one side you are shooting into the sun the other side is shade (depending on the time of day), plus some areas are heavily treed and some are open water-AND of course on a partly cloudy day one second the clouds are blocking the sun and the next, bright sunshine hits.
