A75 making weird sound on focus

Hi people. My recently bought A75 is making an odd sound when trying to focus. The sound happens when the camera is switched on and more noticably off, also when focusing after zooming. It doesn't sound healthy.

Can anyone help?

Edit: It sounds like the same MP3 in this thread ( https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthre​ad.php?t=29893 ) however about a second longer on all counts. The camera never used to make these sounds. Is it true these sounds can be switched off like the last post said? Please enlighten me.

It is just focusing. You can't turn off the sounds I think. This is normal for small digital cameras.

If it is normal, why hasn't it been doing it for the past fortnight?

Were you using manual focus?

Mine was doing the same, it had a very audible clicking noise. I brought it back and got another one. it does make a slight noise when you use the focus but mine was louder then normal, it would make the noise when I zoomed in and out and even when I turned the camera on and off. You hardly hear it on the new camera but the original one was quite loud...bring it back, test the camera before you leave the store, that's what I did.I'm very happy with the A75
