I've seen something like this before: when shooting sports teams in their white colored jerseys, a different colored backdrop (ie green, blue, some other color not in use) is used in order for the background to be swapped out with total white or a superimposed background.
I'm gonna try it myself to see how it goes/works but is there any tutorial on replacing a colored backdrop for a white/superimposed background? I think (think, since I haven't tried) that a white background can be produce by using Photoshop's or PSP's color swap feature...but how about a superimposed background (ie using skies, landscape, etc)? Any useful tips/tutorials?
