One of the herons at Phillippe Park. There are about 1/4 of the original frames. The light was failing and I went to the unaided 200mm and boosted the ISO to 400. Did not like the results of NeatImage, so this is on slightly sharpened in Photoshop. The second picture used the on-camera flash.
There was also a juvenile Yellow-crowned night heron nearby in the deep shade of the mangroves. I have not seen the black-crowned very often and never with the yellow-crowned. I was surprised at how much smaller this bird was than the yellow-crowned night heron.
