I've never ever done this before, I usually shoot motorcycles going really fast lol. So I decided to slow some things down, ( the wife said buy me light ) so having read a little here and there, I went on ebay and got this set for $300.00, it came with 2 flashes, 1 strobe, softbox, stands and umbrella's.

I used 2 flashes one in the softbox and one in modeling mode.... I have no clue what to think of the results so I need your opinions...

My g/f's little guy with my oakleys on ......

I think it looks good for a $300 set! Would you mind posting the ebay link. I've been looking at getting lights but don't have the $$ for Alien bees just yet. The second one is a tad dark, but with practice it will come to ya!

Nope, yes I agree as the WB is really off when I use the Tamron on the 20d,

but really I didn't have any suitable backgrounds....I need to purchase some of those and a light meter...

Let me give some details and maybe some more people can help me out. I wanted to use 1 umbrella as the main light/flash and the softbox as fill flash in the to wards the background, my wife said NO I want to use the softbox as the main fill flash and the background light was in modeling mode....

So who was right and who was wrong lol...... or please recommend the best setup.... thanks
