I'm liking this lens more and more each time I use it. Took these all yesterday, all are uncropped.

Thanks - I never thought I'd be interested in a 300mm since I mostly want to photograph birds and of course everything in that area is about reach. Now I'm really glad I bought it, as it's a very versatile lens and a nice compliment to my 400mm (and hopefully soon, a 500mm!) -Liz

Thanks. Those tree swallows are fun to watch, and easily approachable. Turkeys are always interesting. I'm really happy the 300mm can be that sharp behind a glass wall. -Liz

I had bought the 400mm f/5.6 instead of the 100-400mm because I figured I'd always be at 400mm anyway. I'm still happy with the 400mm, but now it's nice to have something in that 300mm range. I've only got a couple of zooms, the 70-200 and 10-22, and while I like both of those, I'm definitely a big fan of the primes. Can't wait to take the 300mm out to some softball games this summer. -Liz
