As the trees bud, leaf and flower, it is getting progressively more difficult to get a clear shot at these guys. Add their hyperactivity and you get the picture.

Here are some Yellow-rumped Warbler images from this evening. Hope you enjoy them. And thanks for looking.

C&C is always appreciated. I'd like to know how others think I am doing.

I like 4 and 5--you did well-I couldn't get any shots of them today because of the leaves, etc like you mentioned. So these are outstanding!

Thanks Matt. Thanks RW. Thanks Karen. Let's see - that's one vote each for 2,3,4 and 5. I guess that leaves me no choice but to pick #1! :D

Hopefully the spread of votes across the images means that they are all equally good :D and not all equally bad :(.

I think, Karen, that the flowering trees give such a pretty background to the birds... if they would only stick their heads out a little more often!

No more comments. :( You guys are tough! :)

Actually, I have a question. The images above were shot with very bright sunlight coming in over my shoulder (front lit). However, the bird was buried in the tree so you see shadowing in the images. Would fill flash had helped in this type of situation?

That's when I would have used flash. Did you order a Beamer?

Beautiful series . I have been trying to get a decent shot of one for a while, no luck yet.

Well Mitch, I even had the flash mounted on the camera but I thought the bright light coming in from behind me would be enough. It wasn't until I got home and looked at the images that I though they could have possibly used some fill flash. Live and learn.
